Here is a video of the first start up of my rebuilt 390. It is kind of funny to watch after the fact. My wife was pretty excited and you can tell its the first time she has seen a new start up.

The motor is in

The motor has been in for a few weeks. I am getting it buttoned up. January is always a very busy month for me, so I have not had much time to work on it. I will hopefully get it fired up in the next week or so.

Install date

The motor will be installed on Jan. 2 2012.

She is starting to come together.

Today is crank and piston day.

Today I will be installing the crank, installing the pistons, and degreeing the cam. I am getting very close to having the motor done. I am waiting for a break in the weather so I can get the engine bay painted. The build has been going pretty smooth so far. I will post more pictures of the motor as I install more components.
